This course will introduce students to Windows XP. Topics covered will include the basics of mouse and keyboard operation, working with a Window, and Windows Programs. Students will learn how to work with files and folders including how to open, create, delete and move files and folders. Students will begin to explore the Internet through browsing and searching the Web. Finally, students will learn basics of E-mail (using Outlook Express) including composing, sending, receiving, forwarding and deleting messages. This is a suggested prerequisite course to all Microsoft Office Courses..

Mastering Windows XP covers a variety of topics designed to put the finishing touches on students’ understanding of Windows XP. The material covered includes Customizing Windows and Windows Screens, Control Panel Functions, Free Programs offered in Windows, Pictures and Multimedia, and Optimizing and Maintaining a computer.

Windows XP "Networking" offers a more in-depth look at the networking fuctions of Microsoft Windows XP. Topics covered will include User Accounts, Workgroups, and Domains. Students will learn about Networking, Sharing Files, Setting up Networks, and Network Hardware.
